Spiraea japonica ‘Gold Mound’ is a bright and cheerful deciduous shrub prized for its luminous golden-yellow foliage that emerges vibrant in spring and softens to greenish-yellow through summer, before taking on warm shades of orange and red in fall. In late spring, clusters of delicate pink flowers appear, adding a soft contrast to the glowing foliage. Compact and spreading, it forms a tidy mound that works beautifully in borders, foundation plantings, rock gardens, or containers, and also makes an excellent low hedge. Easy to grow and highly adaptable, ‘Gold Mound’ thrives in full sun with well-drained soil, attracts butterflies, and is largely ignored by deer, making it a reliable and colourful addition to any landscape.

🌱 Shrubs Care Guide
Shrubs provide structure, texture, and seasonal interest, making them a key element in any landscape.
For best results, plant in well-draining soil and enrich with compost or organic matter to support strong root development and healthy growth. Choose varieties suited to your space and light conditions, and water regularly while plants establish. Adding mulch can help retain moisture, regulate soil conditions, and support long-term plant health.
