Gardening Trends for 2025
Welcome to our new site
Astilbe chinensis ‘Vision in Pink’ is a compact, clump-forming perennial that brings soft elegance to shaded gardens with its dense, feathery plumes of rosy pink flowers blooming in midsummer. Each plume is made up of hundreds of tiny blossoms that open in succession, creating a long-lasting and vibrant display above a neat mound of finely cut, blue-green foliage that remains attractive all season. Thriving in part to full shade with rich, evenly moist soil, this low-maintenance and relatively trouble-free variety is ideal for borders, woodland gardens, containers, or planting near water features. Its excellent ground-covering habit makes it especially useful for brightening shaded areas, while its blooms are perfect for fresh or dried arrangements. Hardy, deer- and rabbit-resistant, and pollinator-friendly, ‘Vision in Pink’ delivers reliable colour and texture with minimal effort year after year.

🌱 Perennial Care Guide (Gatineau/Ottawa)
All perennials at Nesbitt’s are suitable for hardiness zones 1 through 5. This means they are selected to withstand a wide range of colder climates and seasonal temperature variations in our region.
Perennials are expected to return year after year when planted in the right conditions. To support strong root development and long-term performance, use well-draining soil and enrich with compost or peat moss. Choosing the right plant for your garden’s light and soil will help ensure reliable growth and consistent blooms each season.
